I get a lot of questions about coaching and training philosophy and things that really fall into that realm of the job…but the truth is, most of the coaching I do is about making adjustments.
It’s an ill-timed cold. Sore shins. Poor-weather. Something…
A lot of times someone has read a book or an article and they think that they’ve got the answer…TRAINING SHOULD BE… ‘THIS’…
But the truth is…it’s not. Things happen. Adjustments have to be made. Experience and intuition drive me in what we do…whether that’s here at DBU or with my post-collegiate athletes.
Don’t be afraid of listening to your gut and making adjustments.
