It was a very good weekend for the GTTC Elite crew.
Friday night was highlighted by a 20+ second PR from Jake Powers in the 5000 meters at the Victor Lopez Classic hosted by Rice University. Jake ran a competitive race, never out of contention for the win and raced to a tactical PR of 15:11.
Saturday was for the UTA Bobby Lane Invitational where Kelsey Bruce doubled up to win the 1500 meters (4:41) and 5000 meters (17:05). This was prep for the Stanford 10,000 meters next Friday night and gave Kelsey an opportunity to debut in the 361 singlet.
Cashlee Rayas came off of her sub 18 minute clocking last weekend to get in some good work in the Women’s 5000 meters as she finished in the top-6.
All in all it was a great weekend for the GTTC Elite crew!!!
