This morning, Ryan McSpadden of the Greater Texas Track Club Elite team had a hard long run scheduled…16 miles w/ the second half of the run steady…He ended up running 6:08, 6:01, 5:50, 5:55, 5:45, 5:44, 5:45, 5:36 for the last 8-miles. That’s a great run…
Well, on Tuesday he had scheduled an 8-mile steady state…with the first four miles at 5:45-6:00/mile pace and the last four miles at 5:30-5:45/mile pace…and he bombed. He barely averaged 6:00/mile pace…
It just goes to show you that you’re going to have good days and bad days and everything in between. And they all count. You’ve got to keep showing up…every single day.
