If you’ve followed this site for a while, then you know that I love doing 200 meter reps throughout the training cycle…I call it speed maintenance, but really, it’s just about doing something other than logging miles and doing longer and steadier ‘stuff’.
Every Friday, if we are not racing, we want to get on the track and get the legs turning over a bit. Today was no different. Our team has been putting in a lot of long and steady miles and so getting on the track and putting on the spikes and turning over for the 2 x (5 x 200 meters) that were assigned…that’s a good day.
It never fails. If there is no race on the weekend, you can bet on Friday we are going to be doing some 200 meter repeats.
