Learning From the Greats — Paul Tergat

Paul Tergat might be my second favorite runner of all-time…he was once the World Record holder for the Marathon and won a ridiculous amount of World Cross Country Championships…and lost one of the greatest races ever in the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games 10,000 meters.

So, what did I learn from Paul Tergat?

Well, there’s a story of how hard he would train in preparation for the Olympics and for the World Cross Country Championships…something like three times per day. And when asked about his tough training regiment he says, “Ask yourself: ‘Can I give more?’ The answer is usually, yes.”
