My running resolutions…

Some people aren’t fans of goals or resolutions, but I am. And after reflecting over the past year or so of my running, I’ve come up with what I want to resolve to do this year in running…

  1. I want to average 80-88 kilometers per week (roughly 50-55 miles). Last week was my first 50 mile week in over a year and I felt so accomplished in getting to that mark. My goal is to hit that mark, or just a tad more, every week of 2018, God willing.
  2. I want to relearn how to run hard and strong again. This was something so natural to me for so many years and now it’s something so foreign to me. I want to get back to running strong…and I think a little consistency in my running will get me there. See point #1.
  3. I want to race. This past summer I ran the Luke’s Locker Summer Track Meets and had a blast. I ran no where near my best times, and I might never run near those times again, but it was fun to get out there and be part of the community and really go as hard as I could go on that day.

I am beyond excited for 2018. 2017 was such a great year and I know that there are bigger and better things coming in 2018.

What are you resolving to do in your running in 2018?
