…to be great.
I think that the biggest obstacle for most post-collegiate athletes is making the decision to continue chasing after greatness.
In my experiences as a coach, it seems that those who are able to continue chasing greatness with the same passion and intensity that they did while they were running in college are the ones who find the most success.
It’s those who are unable to remain consistent and bought in (when there is no championship season and no teammates to help with the sharing of the long and hard miles) that struggle to remain competitive. In most cases they can’t even run as fast as they did in college.
And that’s fine…BUT IF YOU WANT TO BE GREAT…you have to MAKE THE DECISION TO BE GREAT.
