I’ve been reading a lot on Lasse Viren, but came across this article about him and the term SISU. With a quick google search SISU means stoic determination, tenacity of purpose, grit, bravery, resilience, and hardness. It’s one of the biggest forms of praise for someone from Finland…Lasse Viren was described as being SISU.
